Vancouver 2010 Olympic Mascots Unveiled

Well these cute little things ought to sell a couple million stuffed animals to kids around the world.
Leave it to Canada to have a cryptozoological beatie like a sasquatch as its Olympic mascot. Earlier today Vancouver 2010 unveiled their Olympic and Paralympic mascots: Quatchi the Sasquatch, Miga the Sea Bear, and Sumi the Thunderbird.
The mythical (and adorable) creatures are the work of Vancouver-based Vicki Wong and Michael Murphy of Meomi Design, who should be no strangers to the readers of Drawn!. These could be the most stylish Olympic mascots yet, and I’m sure will be a big hit with kids.
Heck, I might even buy one or two.

Sure, they're cute and even unique when it comes to Olympic mascots, but they look and sound Japanese, especially that Sea Bear.
